Heru Setyo Basuki is a seasoned customs practitioner who served over 16 years at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (1999–2015). Throughout his public service, he held key positions ranging from Import Document Verifier and Auditor to Bonded Zone Hangar Head. His technical expertise is grounded in a Diploma III in Customs from STAN and a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from STIE Swadaya.
Bringing over 10 years of consultancy experience, Heru held leadership roles as Senior Manager at SF Consulting and Director at Deloitte Touche Solutions. He specializes in HS Code classification, Certificate of Origin analysis, customs valuation, Bonded Zone management, KITE, Bonded Logistics Centers, and AEO certification.
Certified as a Customs Expert and Tax Court Legal Counsel since 2016, Heru is experienced in handling customs dispute litigation up to the Supreme Court. A published contributor to International Tax Review and Hukumonline, he serves as an instructor at HIS Learning Center and is currently completing his Bachelor of Laws degree at Bung Karno University.
